2022 Final Thoughts and 2023 Social Media Trends….If you aren’t someone who believes in social media marketing, this post isn’t for you:

πŸ† 2022 has been the best year to be a social media professional. One thing we know that has held true is the power of social media and the importance of being present and active on multiple platforms. More and more companies are realizing the the value of building brand and capturing attention.

πŸ†• 2023 Organic Reach: Organic social media reach has never been more alive than now. Thank goodness TikTok’s For You Page provided social media content creators (for brands) a chance to go viral and build communities faster. The explorer feed on Instagram and YouTube shorts is going to continue being vital for social media team’s to leverage. We will see more and more brands leveraging YouTube shorts next year. No question TikTok will be a power platform for all brands in 2023. We will continue monitoring the privacy policy issues with TikTok.

πŸ“ˆ 2023 Trend: Community Management is required to have a chance to do well on social media. Brands need constant monitoring and engaging in order to be present for your customers across 6 + social media channels. Brands are loosing business because there is not someone intercepting and driving leads/sales through customer service inquiries. Inbound messages is low hanging fruit for all brands to ensure they jump on in 2023 and beyond.

πŸ“ˆ 2023 Trend: Short form videos will still be the most important social media creative format across channels. There is no indication that short form videos aren’t going to be as important in 2022 as in 2023.

πŸ”ˆ 2023 Trend: Influencers and content creators will continue to help brands create socially relevant content and to amplify the brand into their niche communities. Influencers are becoming brand ambassadors and a face for a brand that may not have someone to connect with their audience.

πŸ“ˆ 2023 Trend: Long form videos are going to become more and more important as consumers are constantly inundated with short form video content. Storytelling for brands and being true to your community is going to be something to implement more of in 2023.

πŸ“ˆ 2023 Trend: LinkedIn is buzzing and brands are starting to realize that their corporate communications team needs to take a more social strategic approach with their content and community management. LinkedIn isn’t boring, don’t make your content boring!
